LOOSE REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS NEW TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Model and Year: 1988-89 Cl, C2, C3, Kl, K2, K3

TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Some 1988-89 C/K Trucks may experience a loosening of the rear shock absorbers. This condition may be repaired by retorqing the bottom shock absorber retaining nuts to a revised specification of 95-110 Nm. Please note this revised specification in your Service Manuals, Section 3D, and reference this section for shock absorber service.

If a truck is serviced for a loose rear shock, both rear shock absorbers should be checked and torqued to the new specification.
