For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect the reaction sun gear for the following defects:
- Remove the reaction sun bushing, if a bushing replacement is needed.
- Install a reaction sun bushing.
- Install the reaction sun gear into the reaction carrier.
- Install the thrust washer.
- Install the reaction sun shell into the reaction sun gear.
- Install the reaction sun gear shell thrust washer into the reaction sun shell.
- Index the tangs onto the thrust washer and into the reaction sun shell.
Important: Do not remove the retaining ring, except to replace it.
