Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
  3. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. On diesel engines only, remove the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls.

  5. Object Number: 669159  Size: MH
  6. Remove the blower motor cover (4).
  7. Remove the blower motor (3). Refer to Blower Motor Replacement .
  8. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  9. Roll back the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  10. Remove the recirculation actuator (19). Refer to Recirculation Actuator Replacement .
  11. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
  12. Lift the blower motor case (1) from the heater case (8) and remove from the vehicle
  13. Remove the recirculation door from the module case.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the recirculation door to the module case.

  2. Object Number: 669159  Size: MH
  3. Install the blower motor case (1) into the vehicle and lower onto the heater case (8).
  4. Install the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
  5. Install the recirculation actuator (19). Refer to Recirculation Actuator Replacement .
  6. Roll forward the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  7. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  8. Install the blower motor (3). Refer to Blower Motor Replacement .
  9. Install the blower motor cover (4).
  10. On diesel engines only, install the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls.
  11. Install the hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  12. Connect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
  13. Install the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
