Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement L65

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 729060  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Important: Most C/K models use a spring - type clamp at the radiator hose connections. When using this type of clamp, install radiator hoses on dry, non - painted surfaces in order to ensure proper sealing. Reusing the spring - type clamps on aftermarket hoses is not recommended.

  3. Remove the clamps.
  4. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  5. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing water outlet.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing water outlet.
  2. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  3. Refill the coolant in the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Start the engine. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, inspect for coolant leaks.

Removal Procedure

Important: Most truck models use a spring-type hose clamp at the hose connections. When using this type of clamp, install the radiator hoses on dry, non-painted surfaces in order to ensure proper sealing. Reusing the spring-type clamps on aftermarket hoses is not recommended.

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Reposition the hose clamps (1, 3) at the water crossover and radiator.
  3. Remove the inlet hose (2) from the water crossover and radiator.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inlet hose (2) to the water crossover and radiator.
  2. Position the hose clamps (1, 3) at the water crossover and radiator.
  3. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
