1. Remove the drum. Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .



2. Remove the drum brake shoes and hardware. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
3. Remove the park brake hardware.

Important: Prior to installation, apply a high temperature silicone lubricant to all brake component metal contact points. Examples include the point at which the brake shoe metal contacts the following parts:

1. Replace the park brake hardware components as necessary.
2. Install the drum brake shoes and hardware. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
3. Install the drum. Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .
