For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Drain the air tank. Refer to Draining Reservoirs in Air Brakes.
- Disconnect the air line from the exhaust brake actuator elbow.
- Note position of lower exhaust clamp and loosen.
- Remove the rear exhaust manifold pipe from the exhaust brake.
- Note position of the top exhaust brake clamp and the exhaust brake.
- Disconnect the top exhaust brake clamp, the exhaust brake and the gasket from the Turbo.
- Note position of the elbow and remove from the exhaust brake actuator.
Installation Procedure
- Install the elbow to the exhaust brake actuator in original position.
- Install the new gasket, the exhaust brake on the Turbo with the upper clamp in original position.
- Install the lower manifold pipe to exhaust brake with clamp in original position.
- Connect the air line to the elbow on the exhaust brake actuator.
- Refill air tank. Refer to Filling Reservoirs in Air Brakes.
- Check system for leaks.
