  1. Disconnect the multifunction alarm module connector.
  2. Use a J 39200 DMM between the multifunction alarm module terminal A8 and ground.

Does the DMM indicate continuity?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the multifunction alarm module terminal A5 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

Connect a test lamp from the multifunction alarm module terminal A4 to ground while cranking the engine.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Start the engine.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the multifunction alarm module connector terminal A2 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Replace the multifunction alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Backprobe the inline fuse with a test lamp to ground

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 53 (YEL) between the inline fuse and the multifunction alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the multifunction alarm module and ground.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the instrument panel fuse block and the multifunction alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 434 (ORN/BLK) between the starter relay and the multifunction alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Inspect for an open in CKT 1477 (PPL) between the generator and the inline fuse.

Do you find an open?
