Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 384164 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information in the 1999 J Platform Service Manual.
  2. Clamp off the heater hose at the front of the vehicle, just forward of the coolant line.

    3. Object Number: 384173 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the rear hose from the coolant line.
  4. Disconnect and remove the hose from the HPR.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 384173 Size: SH
  1. Install the hose and the clamp on the HPR.
  2. Install the hose and the clamp on the coolant line.
  3. Unclamp the coolant hose at the front of the vehicle.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Check the coolant level. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling in the 1999 J Platform Service Manual.
