Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement Without UE1 or UK2

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 749488  Size: SH
  1. Open the child tether anchor bezel using a small flat-bladed tool.
  2. Remove the bolt from the child tether anchor.
  3. Remove the child tether anchor from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 749488  Size: SH
  1. Position the child tether anchor tab to the alignment hole in the rear shelf.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: DO NOT use power tools to tighten the child tether anchor bolts.

  3. Install the child tether anchor bolt to the anchor.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Close the child tether anchor bezel pressing into place until fully seated.
