Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Defogger Chevrolet

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    3. Object Number: 648680 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the left side window defroster duct from the HVAC module.
  4. Remove the defroster duct from the clips.
  5. Disconnect the defroster duct from the left side window defogger adapter.
  6. Remove the defroster duct from the IP carrier.
  7. Remove the left side window defogger adapter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 648680 Size: SH
  1. Install the left side window defogger adapter.
  2. Install the defroster duct to the IP carrier.

    3. Route the duct through the IP carrier hole.

  3. Push the defroster duct to the clip and seat.
  4. Connect the defroster duct to the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Connect the defroster duct to the left side window defogger adapter.
  6. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Defogger Pontiac

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    3. Object Number: 648685 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the left side window defroster duct from the HVAC module.
  4. Remove the defroster duct from the clips.
  5. Disconnect the defroster duct from the left side window defogger adapter.
  6. Remove the defroster duct from the IP carrier.
  7. Remove the left side window defogger adapter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 648685 Size: SH
  1. Install the left side window defogger adapter.
  2. Install the defroster duct to the IP carrier.

    3. Route the duct through the IP carrier hole.

  3. Push the defroster duct to the clip and seat.
  4. Connect the defroster duct to the HVAC module.
  5. Connect the defroster duct to the left side window defogger adapter.
  6. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the left side IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
