Noise in Steering Column

    • The SIR coil (lock spring coil) not seated
    • The upper bearing is not seated in the housing
    • Loose column covers
    • A loose intermediate shaft
    • An unlubricated horn contact ring
    • A lack of grease on the bearings
    • A worn lower steering column jacket bushing assembly
    • A broken lower steering column jacket bushing assembly
    • An unseated shaft lock snap ring
