Did you perform the Cruise Control System Check?

  1. Disconnect the cruise control module connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Hold the cruise control switch in the RESUME/ACCEL position.
  4. Measure the voltage between terminal C of the cruise control module harness connector and ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

Replace the cruise control module. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement .

  1. Hold the cruise control switch in the RESUME/ACCEL position.
  2. Backprobe the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly connector C3.
  3. Measure the voltage between terminal C and ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 87 between the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly and the cruise control module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the turn/hazard headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .
