Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1998 🢒 Cavalier 🢒 Suspension 🢒 Tires and Wheels 🢒 Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle . Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assemby. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.

    3. Object Number: 189132 Size: SH
  3. Remove the drive axle and nut. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement in Driveline/Axle.
  4. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  5. Remove the bolts (1) and washers (2) from the hub and bearing assembly (3).

    6. Object Number: 189138 Size: SH
  6. Remove the hub and bearing assembly (1) from the steering knuckle (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 189138 Size: SH
  1. Install the hub and bearing assembly (1) into the steering knuckle (2).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 189132 Size: SH
  2. Install the hub and bearing bolts (1) and the washers (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  3. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  4. Install the drive axle and nut. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement in Driveline/Axle.
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
