BRAKE SYS. PROPORTIONER VALVE IDENTIFICATION

Subject: BRAKE SYSTEM PROPORTIONER VALVES 1982 FIRENZA

In mid-June, 1982, usage of new brake system proportioner valves was initiated in production on 1982 Cavaliers. Early production and late production proportioner valves are not to be used on the same vehicle. If a valve requires eplacement in service, determine what valve is on vehicle and replace with the same type valve. Refer to illustration and part numbers below to insure proper valve identification and selection.
