Some customers may comment on poor or rough idle, lack of power, an illuminated MIL or a worn evaporative emission system (EVAP) hose in the engine compartment.
An EVAP hose retaining clip may not be present, which may allow the EVAP hose to rub against a metal bracket. A worn EVAP hose may cause poor idle, lack of power, or an illuminated MIL.
Dealers should inspect for the presence of the EVAP hose retaining clip (1).
If the clip is not present, install a new clip, P/N 96629450.
Also inspect the EVAP hose for signs of wear. If the EVAP hose is already worn, replace the EVAP hose with a new hose.
