Unable to Arm Alarm System - Siren Sounds Genuine Accessory

Diagnostic Fault Information

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic procedure should be used in the case of the following: The alarm siren sounds within 1 minute of locking, once the alarm system has been armed. The alarm system integrates into the existing vehicle horn system, activating both the vehicle horn and the alarm siren in the event of the alarm system triggering. The alarm system has a horn input signal circuit that is spliced into the horn relay control circuit at the BCM. The alarm system tests the integrity of the horn relay control circuit as part of the systems internal checks prior to arming.
