Removal Procedure
- Remove the manual transmission.

- Remove the clutch release bearing.
Rotate the bearing in either direction.
The compression spring load will push the release bearing off the end
of the clutch actuator cylinder.
Installation Procedure
Important: DO NOT use cleaners or chemicals to clean the quill and DO NOT grease
the quill.
- Using a clean dry cloth,
clean the exposed area of the actuator cylinder quill.
Important: DO NOT grease the new clutch release bearing. The new clutch release
bearing to be installed is pre-greased.
- Install the new clutch release bearing to the clutch actuator
cylinder.
Firmly push the clutch release bearing into place.
The release bearing will snap over the retainer tab and will be self-retained
to the actuator cylinder.
- Install the manual transmission. Refer to
Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission - M49 or
Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission - MM6.
