Important: The vacuum brake booster check valve and the grommet may be inspected and serviced without removing the vacuum brake booster from the vehicle.

1. Disconnect the clamp (3) and the vacuum hose (4) from the vacuum brake booster check valve (2).
2. Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve (2) and the grommet (1).
3. Inspect the grommet and the vacuum hose for the following conditions:

•

Cuts

•

Nicks

•	Excessive wear

•	Replace the grommet or vacuum hose if damage is evident.

4. Clean all the parts in denatured alcohol.
5. Dry all the parts. Use non-lubricated compressed air.

1. Lubricate the inner and outer diameters of the grommet (1). Use a thin layer of silicone grease.
2. Install the grommet and the check valve (2).
3. Connect the vacuum hose (4) and the clamp (3) to the vacuum check valve (2).
