Exhaust Tail Pipe Extension 5.7L VIN P

1. Loosen the exhaust tail pipe extension clamp bolt.
2. Remove the tail pipe extension from the tail pipe.

1. Push the tail pipe extension on to the tail pipe until you reach the stop position.

Important: The WS6 (Pontiac Only) exhaust tail pipe extension to rear fascia alignment specifications are the same as the Pontiac Formula, or Pontiac Trans Am depending on the model.

2. Align the tail pipe extension with the fascia.

Tighten
Tighten the extension clamp bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb  ft).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
