Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 404134  Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the right sunshade and the sunshade retainer. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the right rear assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the right coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the right body lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.
  7. Carefully pull the right front edge of the headliner down to access the inside air temperature sensor.
  8. Remove the inside air temperature sensor from the roof panel.
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the inside air temperature sensor.
  10. Remove the inside air temperature sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the inside air temperature sensor.
  2. Install the inside air temperature sensor to the roof panel.
  3. Install the right front edge of the headliner into the original position.
  4. Install right body lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the right coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the right rear assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the right sunshade and sunshade retainer. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the right windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the negative battery cable.
