Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 662060 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the two wiring harness connectors from the automatic transfer case control module

    2. Object Number: 662055 Size: SH
  2. Remove the three nuts securing the automatic transfer case control module to the retainer.
  3. Slide the automatic transfer case control module straight out from the retainer.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 662055 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the automatic transfer case control module into the retainer with the three nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  2. Connect the two wiring harness connectors to the automatic transfer case control module.
  3. Start the engine and test the automatic transfer case system for proper shift operation.
