Removal Procedure

    Caution: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause the following conditions:

       • Air bag deployment
       • Personal injury
       • Unnecessary SIR system repairs
    In order to avoid the above conditions, observe the following guidelines:
       • Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine if you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring.
       • If you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the upper steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections to the turn signal switch.
  4. Remove the turn signal switch.
  5. 4.1. Squeeze the top and bottom retaining tabs as shown in illustration.
    4.2. Hold the turn signal switch by the stalk and pull out to the right of side of vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 365530  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the turn signal switch retaining tabs click into position.

  1. Install the turn signal switch to the steering column.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the turn signal switch.
  3. Install the upper steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
