  1. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror power folding switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) cavity A at the outside rear view mirror power folding switch to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 1301 (DK GRN) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and the IP fuse block. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Do the mirrors operate properly?

Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) cavity A to CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity C at the outside rear view mirror power folding switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Replace the outside rear view mirror power folding switch.

Do the mirrors operate properly?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and G204. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror, LH, connector C504.
  2. Place the outside rear view mirror power folding switch in the extend position.
  3. Connect a test lamp from connector C504 terminal J, CKT 190 (YEL) to ground.
  4. Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 190 (YEL) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and connector C504. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Does the LH mirror operate properly?

  1. Place the outside rear view mirror power folding switch in the retract position.
  2. Connect a test lamp from connector C504 terminal K, CKT 191 (LT BLU) to ground.
  3. Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 191 (LT BLU) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and connector C504. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Does the LH mirror operate properly?

  1. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror, RH, connector C604.
  2. Place the outside rear view mirror power folding switch in the extend position.
  3. Connect a test lamp from connector C604 terminal J, CKT 190 (YEL) to ground.
  4. Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 190 (YEL) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and connector C604. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Does the RH mirror operate properly?

  1. Place the outside rear view mirror power folding switch in the retract position.
  2. Connect a test lamp from connector C604 terminal K, CKT 191 (LT BLU) to ground.
  3. Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair an open in CKT 191 (LT BLU) between the outside rear view mirror power folding switch and connector C604. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
