Removal Procedure
- Remove the front left fender. Refer to
Front Fender Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the antenna mast bezel retaining nut.
- Remove the nut retaining the power antenna ground wire to the
fender.
- Remove the power antenna electrical wire harness clip from the
fender.
- Remove the nut and bolt retaining the power antenna assembly to
the fender.
- Remove the power antenna assembly from the fender.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power antenna
assembly to the fender.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the nut and bolt retaining the
power antenna assembly to the fender.
Tighten
Tighten the power antenna assembly nut and bolt to 29 N·m
(21 lb ft).
- Install the power antenna electrical wire harness clip to the
fender.
- Install the nut retaining the power antenna ground wire to the
fender.
Tighten
Tighten the power antenna ground wire nut to 10.9 N·m (8 lb ft).
- Install the antenna mast bezel retaining nut.
- Install the front left fender. Refer to
Front Fender Replacement
in Body Front End.
