Do the outside rear view mirrors, LH and RH, operate normally?

  1. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror, RH, connector C604 and the inside rear view mirror (automatic day/night mirror) connector.
  2. Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) between cavity G of the outside rear view mirror, RH, and cavity 4 of the automatic inside day-night rear view mirror connector.

Does continuity exist?

Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) between the outside rear view mirror, RH, cavity B and the inside rear view mirror (automatic day/night mirror) connector cavity 5.

Does continuity exist?

Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) between the outside rear view mirror, RH, cavity G and cavity B.

Does continuity exist?

Repair the open in CKT 1690 (GRY) between the outside rear view mirror, RH, cavity G and the inside rear view mirror (automatic day/night mirror). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 1691 (PNK) between the outside rear view mirror, RH, cavity B and the inside rear view mirror (automatic day/night mirror). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the outside rear view mirror, RH.
