  1. Use the scan tool in order to monitor the driver and passenger door handle and jamb switches.
  2. Open and close each door.

Do the inputs change between ACTIVE and INACTIVE?

  1. Close all of the doors.
  2. Turn the ignition and start switch to the ON position, then to the OFF position.
  3. Using the scan tool, monitor the RAP timer.

Does the RAP timer count down?

Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C1.

Does the RAP system deactivate?

Disconnect the RAP relay.

Test for a short to B+ between the RAP relay terminal 30 and the RDO IGN fuse located in the IP Fuse Block.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Remove the RDO IGN fuse from the IP Fuse Block.

Did the RAP system deactivate?

Remove the POWER WINDOW circuit breaker from the Body Relay Block.

Test for a short to B+ in CKT 1301 (DK GRN).

Test for a short to B+ in CKT 1001 (DK GRN).

Test for a short to ground between RAP relay terminal 86 and the body control module connector C1 terminal A7.
