Did you perform the Horns Diagnostic System Check?

Verify that one of the horns is inoperative.

Do the horns operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the inoperative horn.
  2. Connect a test lamp between CKT 1329 (DK GRN) and ground.
  3. Press the horn button.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 1329 (DK GRN) between the Underhood Fuse Block cavity A6 and the inoperative horn. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Using a test lamp connected to power probe horn connector cavity A.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the inoperative horn. Refer to Horn Replacement - Left Side or Horn Replacement - Right Side .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 150/250 (BLK). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
