Verify that the radio display is inoperative and there is no sound from the speakers.

  1. Disconnect the radio connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) at the radio connector cavity F2 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp from the radio connector cavity F2 to cavity E16.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1301 (DK GRN) between the radio and the IP fuse block. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Service the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the radio and ground G203. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
