Verify that the right turn signal indicator is inoperative.

Does the right turn signal indicator operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN position with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn the right turn signal ON.

Do the right turn signals function properly?

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative - Left or Right Side

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the connector terminal B1 to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate or flash?

  1. Inspect the instrument cluster printed circuit and the right turn signal indicator filament.
  2. Repair or replace as needed. Refer to Instrument Cluster Bulb Replacement or Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 1415 (DK BLU/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
