Verify that the fog lamp indicator is inoperative.

Does the fog lamp indicator operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the fog lamp switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Turn headlamp switch to PARK position.
  4. Connect a test light between the fog lamp switch harness connector terminal C and terminal D. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 34 or CKT 2234. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the fog lamp switch. Refer to Fog Lamp Switch Replacement or Rear Fog Lamp Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
