Inspect the HAZARD LPS 15A fuse 7 in the IP Fuse Block.

Is the fuse open?

Using a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM), Disconnect the Hazard Warning Switch and test for a short to ground in the Hazard Warning Switch B+ power circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Was a short to ground found?

--

Locate and repair the short to ground in the Hazard Warning Switch B+ power circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Using a test lamp to ground, test the B+ power circuit at the Hazard Warning Switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in the Hazard Warning Switch B+ power circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Connect the test lamp between the B+ power circuit and the ground circuit at the Hazard Warning Switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in the ground circuit to the Hazard Warning Switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect and activate the the Hazard Warning Switch
  2. Connect the test lamp from ground to each of the front turn signal switch signal output terminals at the Hazard Warning Switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp flash?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in the front turn signal switch signal circuits. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
