Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement Dual Piston Caliper

Removal Procedure

Use GM replacement brake lining material for this vehicle. GM replacement brake parts provide the proper brake balance for stopping distance and for braking control. The intended brake balance for this vehicle can change if GM replacement brake lining materials are not used.

  1. Remove two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
  2. Notice: Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.

Important: Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
