Wheel Stud Remover
Removal Procedure
Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
Remove the rear tires and wheels assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
Remove the rear brake rotors. Refer to
Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement
in Disc Brakes.
Use the
J 6627-A
in order to remove the stud from the axle flange.
Installation Procedure
Start the new stud into the axle flange hole by pressing firmly with your hand.
Install three flat washers (1) to the wheel stud (3).
Install a lug nut (2) with the flat surface to the washers.
Tighten the lug nut until the stud head is fully seated in the flange.
Remove the lug nut (2) and the washers (1) from the wheel stud (3).
Install the rear brake rotors. Refer to
Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement
in Disc Brakes.
Install the rear tires and wheels assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
Lower the vehicle.
