Tools Required:

J 21426 Extension Housing Seal Installer

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement in Driveline/Axle.



3. Remove the rear extension oil seal.

1. Install the new seal usingJ 21426 .
2. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement in Driveline/Axle.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXTRON III Transmission Fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
