🢒 Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Bucket Seat Replacement
.
Remove the seat back recliner handle.
Remove the four J-strips (1) securing the seat cover to the frame.
Remove spring (2) from the seat adjuster.
Pull the seat cushion pad and cover back to expose the frame.
Remove the two nuts (1) securing the seat adjuster rail to the frame.
Remove the cable (2) from the clip (1) on the adjuster rail.
Remove the cable (2) from the hole in the adjuster rail.
Remove the cable from the pass through hole (2) in the adjuster rail.
Remove the two bolts (1) from the seat back pivot assembly.
Remove the cable cover bracket (2).
Remove the cable (3) from the bracket (1) by loosening cable nut (2).
Remove cable (3).
Installation Procedure
Install the cable (3) through the hole (2) in the seat adjuster rail.
Hook the cable (3) into the rail and clip the cable to the rail (1).
Install the seat adjuster rail to the seat frame with 2 nuts (1).
Tighten
Tighten bolts to 24 N·m(18 lb ft)
Install the cable (3) to the seat back pivot assembly.
Install the cable (3) to the pivot assembly bracket by tightening cable nut (2).
Install the cable cover bracket (2) to the seat back pivot assembly.
Install the two bolts (1).
Tighten
Tighten bolts to 24 N·m(18 lb ft)
Pull the pad and cover back over the seat frame.
Install the pad and cover to seat with J-strips (1).
Install the spring (2) to the seat adjuster rail.
Install the seat back recliner handle.
Install seat in the vehicle. Refer to
