WINDNOISE AT REAR FRT. DOORS REPLACE DOOR GLASS CHANNEL

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 CORSICA AND TEMPEST

Customer comments of windnoise at the rear upper corner of front doors on 1987 Corsica and Tempest styles may be due to air leakage between the door frames and window glass run channels.

The condition is due to unsealed areas of the door frame to glass run channels at the upper rear corner and down the rear portion of the door frame to glass run channel.

This condition can be repaired by replacing the door glass run channels with new parts. The part numbers are as follows:

Right Side - 10087260 * Left Side - 10087261

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim 0.6 hours per side.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
