The information printed in the February 26, 1987 issue of Corsica/Beretta "Tech Tips" listed incorrect part numbers for the front door rear window glass run channels. This bulletin provides correct part numbers for the glass run channels. All copies of the last page of your issue of "Tech Tips" should be destroyed and replaced with this bulletin.
Customer comments of windnoise at the rear upper corner of front doors on 1987 Corsica styles may be due to air leakage between the door frames and window glass run channels.
The condition is due to unsealed areas of the door frame to glass run channels at the upper rear corner and down the rear portion of the door frame to glass run channel.
This condition can be repaired by replacing the door glass run channels with new parts. The part numbers are as follows:
Right Side - 10087260 Left Side - 10087261
Labor Operation Number: C0140 (Right) C0141 (Left)

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
