1.6 L91 Manual Transmission High Idle When Clutch Is Depressed - kw Daewoo GMDATRPM speed

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Engine RPM increases when clutch is depressed after lugging engine.

If the engine is lugged ... i.e. 4th gear at 20 MPH and the clutch is depressed the engine RPM will increase due to the IAC control. This is a normal condition. IAC control and engine RPMs will return to normal if the accelerator pedal is tapped or the vehicle speed drops below 5 MPH.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
