Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 740623 Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat back cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat back pad from the seat back frame.
  3. Disconnect the lumbar support from the seat back frame, if required. Refer to Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat back recliner bolts.
  5. Remove the seat back frame from the seat back recliner.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 740623 Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back frame to the seat back recliner.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the seat back recliner bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the lumbar support to the seat back frame, if required. Refer to Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement .
  4. Install the seat back pad to the seat back frame.
  5. Install the seat back cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement .
