Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 2.2L

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 772800  Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Use theJ 38185 in order to reposition the outlet hose clamp from the cylinder head (2).
  3. Remove the outlet hose from the cylinder head.
  4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  6. Use theJ 38185 in order to reposition the outlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  7. Remove the outlet hose (2) from the radiator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 349794  Size: SH
  1. Install the outlet hose (2) to the radiator.
  2. Use theJ 38185 in order to reposition the outlet hose to the radiator.
  3. Lower the vehicle.

  4. Object Number: 772800  Size: SH
  5. Install the outlet hose to the cylinder head (2).
  6. Use theJ 38185 in order to position the outlet hose to the cylinder head.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 25990  Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system to a level below the hose being removed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the water outlet.
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
  4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  5. Remove the radiator inlet hose (2) from the radiator .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator inlet hose (2) to the radiator.
  2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  3. Install the radiator inlet hose (2) to the water outlet.
  4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the inlet hose clamp (1) to the water outlet.
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
