There are 2 ways to reset the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system.

Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) Reset Using the Driver Information Center (DIC)

Important: Clearing the ABS DTCs will not reset the TPM system.

If the TPM system does not reset or DTC C1245 remains current, refer to Diagnostic System Check - Tire Pressure Monitoring .

  1. Set all tires to the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Press the SELECT buttons on the DIC to scroll until GAGE PAGE is displayed in the DIC.
  4. Press the SELECT buttons on the DIC within the GAGE PAGE display until the TIRE PRESSURE LOW message is displayed on the DIC.
  5. Press and hold the DIC RESET button on the DIC until the TIRE PRESSURE RESET message is displayed on the DIC.
  6. Release the button, the TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message is displayed. The system is now in the autolearn mode.
  7. Use the scan tool in order to clear the ABS DTCs.

TPM Reset Using the Scan Tool

Important: Clearing the ABS DTCs will not reset the tire pressure monitor (TPM) system.

If the TPM system does not reset or DTC C1245 remains current, refer to Diagnostic System Check - Tire Pressure Monitoring .

  1. Set all tires to the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. With the scan tool, perform the Tire Pressure Reset in the DRP/ABS/TCS/TIM/VSES (if equipped) Special Functions.
  5. The TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message is displayed on the DIC. The system is now in the autolearn mode.
  6. Use the scan tool in order to clear the ABS DTCs.
