Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1224690 Size: SH
  1. Open the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door.
  2. Remove the retaining screws from the striker on the underside of the I/P carrier.
  3. Remove the striker from the I/P.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224690 Size: SH
  1. Align the striker to the I/P, placing the striker ends at the holes in the underside of the I/P carrier.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the striker retaining screws and tighten to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).
  3. Close the I/P compartment door and verify the operation of the latch to the striker.
