The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When using a Tech 2® to monitor Transmission Data, the Vehicle Speed reading may be found to be higher than the actual speedometer reading. If this condition is found, typically the higher the actual vehicle speed the higher the Tech 2® reading and the greater the error.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This issue does not cause any driveability issues and no repair attempts should be made. The issue is being investigated in an attempt to correct the Tech 2® Vehicle Speed reading in a future calibration release.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
