04 SRX, XLR 4.6L (LH2) engine DTC P0315 on low mileage vehicles or after a PCM replacement
The CKP system variation learn procedure should be performed first (per SI Document number 1227182) and then the vehicle performance evaluated to verify if the DTC P0315 would reoccur. The crankshaft sensors should not be replaced. The CKP system variation compensating values are stored in ECM memory after a learn procedure has been performed. If the CKP system variation values are not stored in the ECM memory, DTC P0315 sets.
Note: The CKP system variation learn procedure must be done whenever a PCM, crank sensor or engine is replaced.
