Backprobe the adaptive lumbar module connector with a test lamp from cavity S (ORN) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Backprobe the adaptive lumbar module connector with a test lamp from cavity S (ORN) to cavity A (BLK).

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Backprobe the adaptive lumbar module connector with a test lamp from cavity M (BRN) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Backprobe the lumbar switch connector with a test lamp from cavity G (ORN) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Backprobe the adaptive lumbar module connector with a test lamp from cavity F (LT BLU/WHT) (LH) or (PNK) (RH) to ground.
  2. Move the lumbar switch in the AUTO/ON position.

  1. Backprobe the adaptive lumbar module connector with a test lamp from cavity E (PPL) (LH) or (WHT) (RH) to ground.
  2. Move the lumbar switch in the OFF position.

  2. Connect a fused jumper from battery positive voltage (B+) to one lumbar pump motor terminal.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the other lumbar pump motor terminal to ground.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the adaptive lumbar module connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the lumbar pump motor connector cavity A (BRN) to ground.

Perform the appropriate procedure:

    • LH: Repair the open in CKT 550 (BLK) between S313 and the LH adaptive lumbar module.
    • RH: Repair the open in CKT 650 (BLK) between S315 and the RH adaptive lumbar module.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 41 (BRN) between the rear junction block and the adaptive lumbar module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  2. Disconnect the adaptive lumbar module connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the lumbar switch connector cavity G (ORN) to ground.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

  3. Connect a DMM from the lumbar switch connector cavity B (LT BLU/WHT) (LH) or cavity C (PNK) (RH) to ground.

  2. Disconnect the adaptive lumbar module connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the lumbar switch connector cavity C (PPL) (LH) or cavity B (WHT) (RH) to ground.
