Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 298105  Size: SH
  1. Remove IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove two fasteners, one on each side of the cluster.
  3. Disconnect left (2) and right (1) DIC switch electrical connectors.
  4. Rotate IP cluster trim (3) down from the top and lift out of IP retainer.
  5. Remove the DIC switches from the trim panel. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the DIC switches to the trim panel. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement .
  2. Slide lower edge of IP cluster trim plate down behind woodgrain trim, use care not to scratch the woodgrain.
  3. Reconnect the two electrical connectors to DIC switches.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the two fasteners to the trim panel.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the cluster trim panel fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
