Was the Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column System Check performed?

Go to Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column System Check

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the steering column tilt/ telescoping module (TTM) connector C1.
3. Connect a test lamp between the TTM connector C1 terminal E and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair open in CKT 2840 (ORN).

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Step 11

Connect a test lamp between the TTM connector C1 terminal D and ground.

Go to Step 5

Repair open in CKT 2940 (ORN).

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Step 11

Connect a test lamp between the TTM connector C1 terminal C and battery positive voltage (B+).

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 7

Connect a test lamp between ground splice pack G201 and battery positive voltage (B+).

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Repair open CKT 450 (BLK).

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Step 11

--

Check that ground terminal G201 is clean and tight. If OK, replace ground splice pack G201.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

--

1. Replace the steering column tilt/telescoping module (TTM). Refer to Steering Column Tilt/Telescoping Module Replacement.
2. After replacement, reset the soft stops. Refer to Steering Column Control Module Programming .

1. Make sure any components removed during diagnosis are installed in place and that all connectors are connected.
2. Repeat the system check. Refer to Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column System Check .

Is the system check complete?
