Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 154786 Size: SH
  1. Remove the accelerator controls cable (2) from the throttle body bracket (1).
  2. Remove the accelerator controls cable (3) from the throttle body lever (2).

  3. Remove the accelerator controls cable (2) from the bulkhead retainer (3).

    4. Object Number: 305034 Size: SH
  4. Remove the accelerator controls cable (1) from the engine compartment.

    5. Object Number: 302599 Size: SH
  5. Remove the right Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - IP Lower. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the accelerator controls cable (1) from the accelerator controls pedal (3).
  7. Remove the accelerator controls cable to bulkhead seal.
  8. Remove the accelerator controls cable (1) from the bulkhead and from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 302599 Size: SH

    Notice: In order to prevent possible interference and damage, flexible components (hoses, wires, conduits, etc.) must not be routed within 50 mm (2 in) of moving parts, unless the routing is positively controlled.

  1. Install the accelerator controls cable (3) to the vehicle and to the bulkhead.
  2. Install the accelerator controls cable to bulkhead seal.
  3. Install the accelerator controls cable (1) to the accelerator controls pedal assembly (3).
  4. Install the right closeout/insulator panel replacement - IP lower. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement .

  5. Route the accelerator controls cable (2) through the engine compartment.
  6. Install the accelerator controls cable (2) to the bulkhead retainer (1).

    7. Object Number: 154786 Size: SH

    Important: The accelerator controls cable must be routed through groove in throttle body lever and seated securely.

  7. Install the accelerator controls cable (3) to the throttle body lever (2).
  8. Install the accelerator controls cable (3) to the throttle body bracket (1).

    9. Important: Inspect for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator controls pedal. Inspect for poor carpet fit under the accelerator controls pedal. Throttle should operate freely without binding between full closed and wide open throttle.

  9. Inspect the accelerator control cable for proper operation.
