Removal Procedure
- Cycle the glass panel (3) to the vent position if possible.
- Remove the glass panel fasteners (1) on both sides.
- Remove the glass panel, being careful not to scratch the roof surface.
Important: Do not operate the sunroof without the glass in place. Operating without the glass will break the wind deflector.
Installation Procedure
- Position the sunroof glass panel (3) into the opening.
- Install the glass panel fasteners (1). Do not tighten the fasteners.
- Close the glass panel.
- Adjust the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners (1) to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
