Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  3. Remove the ambient outside air temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 327813  Size: SH
  5. Remove the lower bolts (1) retaining the hood latch support (2) to the vehicle.

  6. Object Number: 327810  Size: SH
  7. Remove the upper bolts (1) retaining the hood latch support (2) to the vehicle.
  8. Remove the hood latch support (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 130486  Size: SH
  1. Install the hood latch support (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts (3) to retain the hood latch support (1) to the vehicle.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  6. Install the ambient outside temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
  7. Close the hood.
